I can see pictures of people and when I remember them later, without a photo in front of me, sometimes the picture that comes to my mind's eye is an image of Jesus as I imagine Him to be. What a comfort to know that that loved one has become as He is.

I'm not good at condolences but the phrase that comes up, sooner or later, at almost every Irish wake comes to mind. She had a good run!
At my age, 84, the great majority of my family and friends over the years are done, but I'm delighted they were. We all have to get out of the way to make room for the next and the next after generations but, if we make the best of the time we have, Golden Rule it, we'll have had a good run.
Beautiful words for a beautiful spirit. You will see each other again and you know that, but it is hard on the heart to know you won't see her or hear from her in this life. As you know, I lost my 80 year old brother in November, God allowed him a full and long life and he had many afflictions. We know when they are gone to be with God those afflictions are left behind, and we will see them again in the full glory of God. What a comfort it is be assured of that reunion.
